Cockrell Hill Elementary School is a public school in DeSoto, Texas (USA). It is part of the DeSoto Independent School District.
Located at 425 South Cockrell Hill Road, the school serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through five that reside in southwestern DeSoto and western Glenn Heights.
Construction of Cockrell Hill Elementary started in 1986 and the campus opened in August 1987.

As of the 2005-2006 school year, Cockrell Hill had a total of 655 students (81.4% African American, 7.9% White, 9.5% Hispanic, 0.8% Asian, and 0.5% Native American).
Based on the accountability ratings released by the Texas Education Agency on August 1, 2006, Cockrell Hill Elementary is currently rated "Academically Acceptable".
Students from Cockrell Hill attend either DeSoto West Middle School or McCowan Middle School.[1]
In the 2005-2006 school year, DeSoto ISD began a mandatory school uniform policy at all of its schools.
